INFORMATION

DETAILS ON COLUMBIA COUNTY FARM MAP

Overview:

The Chamber of Commerce, Columbia County Tourism, The Columbia Land Conservancy, Columbia County Bounty and the Cornell Cooperative Extension, have all joined forces to create a Columbia County Farm Products Map. The map will list farms that offer retail services and will include everything from Christmas Tree farms to farm stands to “pick your own”. This map will serve the farmers, the local community as well as visitors. This “pilot” project will include 25,000 pieces. With ever decreasing resources, it is important to reach out to the business community for support. Therefore this map will provide an advertising opportunity for 20 businesses within the county. With only 20 ads, space is limited… therefore, first come, first served.

Information to be included on the map:
The border of the map (framed) will be lined with 20 businesses… 10 on each side. Each business will be able to include the following:
1) Business name
2) website
3) Phone number
4) 8 word tag line
5) logo

Standard format:
In order to preserve the integrity of the “look”, ads will have a consistent look… such as font, font size, information, etc. The only variable will be the “logo”. Besides maintaining a consistent visual message, a consistent look will eliminate the need for artwork from the businesses. This will contribute to overall savings to the sponsor.

Cost:
The cost is $250 and is tax deductible. Checks should be made payable to Columbia County Cornell Cooperative Extension. Payment in full will be required prior to printing. Checks should be mailed to:

Benefit:
Map sponsorship is a unique opportunity for businesses to show their support of local farms. It is a chance to get your business name out in the community with a strong show of support. As the entire piece will cost $12,000, with $5,000 raised from our business partners. In a way, this is like heavily supported advertising. As a non-profit effort, this piece will run at cost. This is the kind of information that people will keep and use again and again.

Since space is limited, there will only be 20 ads. If you choose to support this, your ad will be one of the 20 on the map.
